Pre-CanSkate is for skaters 10 years and younger who have no experience skating, or cannot stand or move on ice yet. (Must be 4 years old by the start of the program.)  IF your skater is over 10 years of age, the Adult/TeenSkate program is available for beginners.

Skaters will learn in a group format and be introduced to basic skating skills and movements. The skaters will progress in a fun, friendly, and high energy environment, working on skills like balancing, falling/standing, and moving forward. Once a skater has completed the program they will move on to CanSkate.

Skaters in a 10 (or longer) week program will receive an assessment at the end of the season.

Parent n' Tot is a program that allows children aged 3 onto the ice with a parent or guardian. Coaches will assist the parent/guardian in teaching their skaters the basics of skating while participating in a group.

Parent n' Tot is meant to be a positive first experience for new skaters, to develop the confidence needed to explore and learn skating basics. This is a hands on class for parents and guardians, who must be prepared to get down on the ice with their little one.

Skaters in a 10 week program will receive an assessment at the end of the season.

Children must be three years old by the start date of the program.

Parents/Guardians must be registered in Parent n' Tot Parent Registration and covered by a Skate Canada Insurance fee, prior to stepping on the ice. Skates are mandatory for parents. Insurance is not transferable between parents. CSA Approved helmets are REQUIRED on the ice, unless approved by the coach.
