Canadian Tire Jump Start Program

One in three Canadian families cannot afford to enrol their children in sport or recreation activities. Canadian Tire Jumpstart is dedicated to removing barriers, so children can participate in organized sport and recreation.

Part of a cohort? You can still skate with us! We are physically distanced, even our group programs!

Welcome Back!

ASC is excited to open programming for our Fall and Winter session.

You will see some changes:

  • All programs will be socially distanced on the ice and in the building

  • Mandatory Health Screens for all participants before every session (on-line)

  • CanSkate / Intro to Figure Skating  / Figure Prep:  Lower numbers on the ice - smaller groups

  • NO PreCanSkate programs allowed at this time.  ASC cannot socially distance these ages and skating levels.  This is a Skate Canada decision (our governing orgranization).  We are hoping that we will be able to offer this program for January.

  • ASC will offer Parent n' Tot registrations but we are confirming over the next few weeks if Skate Canada will allow this program.  If we cannot, there will be a refund.

  • CanPowerSkate: Lower numbers on the ice

  • StarSkate and Figure Prep - No dryland in the City buildings for this season.  Dryland is being considered with an online format which will not be included in the fees.  This will open for registration once approved.

There will be Volunteer requirements for the StarSkate Prep (2 day a week participants) and StarSkate Programs.  More information to follow on what volunteer opportunities will be available this coming season.

  • StarSkate 1 – 2 days a week

  • Star Active – 2 days a week

  • Star 2+ - 3 days a week (including one morning)

  • Competitive – Under 10 – 3 sessions a week (including one morning)

Once a week during the regular season, the Airdrie Skating Club puts a spotlight on one of it's fabulous skaters. Each week a skater from a different program is selected, and they get a video to showcase all their talent.
